In an announcement issued by the Information Office, Public Affairs Section, Embassy of the United States of America, today, called on President Muhammadu Buharigovernment to lead an intensive examination concerning the episode and make fitting move. This call pursued later rehashed conflicts between the Shiites and security agents, particularly the Nigerian Army, over the interest for the arrival of its leader, Sheikh Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, from Prison. For three days, the order individuals walked on Abuja road, challenging army officers and policemen who endeavored to stop them. This has prompted the death of some of them, many managed wounds and more than 400 IMN individuals were captured by security agents as prior reported. Abdullahi Musa, the gatherings’ representatives, in an announcement on Wednesday, said notwithstanding the 1,000 missing individuals, 46 were killed while 107 supported wounds.

“The public will recall that on Saturday 27 October, 2018 the followers of Sheikh Ibraheem Zakzaky (H) publicly announced the commencement of three (3) days religious gathering (Arbaeen Symbolic Trek) and protest for unconditional release of our leader, Sheikh Zakzaky (H). Unfortunately, during the programme, the military and police killed 46 mourners and protesters, injured 107 and 1000 got missing. The worst part of the crime is that the police are now blackmailing us to cover their atrocities.
